Borrowing inspiration is the giving title to a series of paintings done after a month of residency in Jaipur-Rajasthan -India. There I learned the traditional miniature painting technique. Grounding pigments, applying gold leaf and painting with squirrel hair brushes, to emphasize sublime details. Once I came back to my studio, I integrated the technique into my practice. Resulting in an exciting juxtaposition of cultures, aesthetics and contemporary art.
